NEWLY LICENSED TEACHERS

Teachers who are newly licensed must be approved by their administration to participate in an induction program.

REQUIREMENTS: TED 5000 Introduction to Teaching and Learning I or II

• Inductees are accountable to a Professional Development Plan.
• Inductees are required to be observed and receive written evaluations.
• Inductees are formally evaluated by their Mentors and TILA-IP instructional coaches at least one time per semester.
• Inductees are required to submit an Induction Portfolio

VETERAN TEACHERS

Veteran teachers must have at least 3 years of teaching experience 

REQUIREMENTS: TED 5000 Introduction to Teaching and Learning I or II OR Choose 1-2 other graduate level classes offered by TILA connected to induction plan

• Inductees are accountable to a Professional Development Plan
• Inductees are required to be observed and receive written evaluations
• Inductees are formally evaluated by their Mentors and TILA-IP instructional coaches at least one time per semester.
• Inductees are required to submit an Induction Portfolio

OUT OF STATE TEACHERS

Out of State Teachers are new to Colorado and have received an Initial License in Colorado. 

REQUIREMENTS: TED 5000 Introduction to Teaching and Learning I or II OR Choose 1-2 other graduate level classes offered by TILA connected to induction plan

• Inductees are required to be observed and receive written evaluations
• Inductees are formally evaluated by their Mentors and TILA-IP instructional coaches at least one time per semester.
• Inductees are required to submit an Induction Portfolio
